ABT- front skirt
– on vehicles with park assistant plus the sensor bracket set (art.-no.: 4M00 8006 215) has to be ordered at ABT Sportsline before starting the conversion. The serial sensors will be reused. In default factory configuration, the bore holes for the sensors are closed and have to be machined before painting according to the mounting instructions
– the covers for the headlamp cleaning device of the vehicle (with S-Line exterior) will be reused. to avoid colour differences on the converted vehicle, we recommend to paint the covers together with the front skirt.
– due to optical reasons we recommend to paint the visible part of the front/rear sensors in the colour of the ABT – front skirt
– Depending on the equipment and configuration of the vehicle further technical configurations respectively assistant systems (for example ACC, night vision assistant, lane assist, side assist, etc.) have to be checked or adjusted.The valid regulations of the manufacturer have to be respected. The costs for potential additional work are not included in the assembly time of the ABT – front skirt and have to be invoiced separately depending on the effort
– Fitment of the ABT – front skirt on vehicles with standard configuration or S-Line sport package is only possible when certain Audi original parts are ordered before starting the conversion. The complete range of parts (small parts and mounting material) can vary depending on configuration and model year of the vehicle. Therefore it is necessary to check which additional parts are needed according to the vehicle identification number.
– For vehicles which will be driven in countries with high temperatures the lateral air intake mesh have to be machined according to the mounting instructions. For a flawless optic we recommend to paint the visible side of the air intake mesh after the modifications. The costs are neither included in the assembly time nor the painting costs of the ABT – front skirt and have to be invoiced separately.
ABT – rear skirt
– on vehicles with park assistant the sensor bracket set (art.-no.: 4M00 8006 215) has to be ordered at ABT Sportsline before starting the conversion. The serial sensors will be reused. additional information:
– the glue which is needed for the assembly is not included in the delivery. Please only use the adhesives mentioned in the test documents (general operating license, approval). Disregard leads to the loss of the general operating license and insurance protection of the vehicle as well as prosecution in case of damage.
The approved adhesives can be bought at Volkswagen/ Audi with article number 000.071.785 D as a complete adhesive set (glue incl. primer). Three adhesive sets are needed for the assembly.
